Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to attend the high-profile Gaza peace summit taking place on Monday in Egypt’s Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, according to Egypt’s presidential spokesperson.

The summit, convened to reinforce and formalize the recently brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, will bring together key regional and global leaders, including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and U.S. President Donald Trump.

“Both Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will take part in the peace summit to solidify the agreement to end the war in Gaza and reaffirm their commitment to it,” the Egyptian presidential spokesperson announced.
