Millions of Brits are battling soaring energy bills this winter following Ofgem's price cap rise of 2% from October 1. However, Octopus Energy believes there's one method you can use to reduce this financial burden, potentially cutting costs by an average of £80 per year.

While it might appear straightforward, this approach involves identifying and blocking draughts throughout your property to prevent heat from leaking out.

The energy firm explains that you can easily use the back of your hand to detect leaks, though a thermal camera could deliver more precise findings.
