ORLANDO, Fla. – Tropical Storm Lorenzo officially formed early Monday in the Atlantic Ocean.
The National Hurricane Center at 5 a.m. said Lorenzo was located in the central Atlantic.

The storm is forecast to remain over open waters, and all reliable model guidance continues to show no threat to Florida.
The next named storm will be called Melissa.
Hurricane season runs through November.
