I-79 northbound crash near weigh station/construction zone in Marion County sends 1 person to hospital

FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WV News) — One person was transported after a single-vehicle crash just before 6 a.m. Monday morning on Interstate 79.

The crash occurred in the northbound lanes near a construction zone close to the weigh station in northern Marion County, according to a 911 dispatcher.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office, Marion County EMS, and firefighters from Marion and Mon County responded.
