A man was killed in a shooting Sunday night on Pittsburgh’s South Side, officials said.

The shooting in the 1200 block of East Carson Street happened just after 10 p.m., according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

Officers who were already in the area found a 33-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the neck, authorities said.

First responders took the man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:27 p.m., according to officials. His identity had not yet been released.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance video in the area as an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

It’s the second fatal shooting on the South Side in less than two weeks.

On Oct. 4, a woman was shot and killed at Bonez Barber Shop, in the same block as Sunday night’s shooting.
