In a major step toward enhancing transparency and security in public administration, all government buildings in Odisha are set to be equipped with CCTV cameras, official sources said on Monday.

The surveillance system will be monitored centrally from a designated Command and Control Room, ensuring real-time oversight of office premises.

The Departmental Joint Director has formally informed the Transport Commissioner about this development through an official letter.

The CCTV coverage will extend up to 500 meters, allowing wide-range surveillance and deterrence of unauthorised or suspicious activity around government establishments.
