Taylor Swift is set to provide fans with an exclusive look at her record-breaking Eras Tour through a new docuseries on Disney+. Titled "The End of an Era," the six-part series will showcase the behind-the-scenes aspects of the tour, which ran from March 2023 to December 2024 and featured sold-out performances in stadiums worldwide.
The first two episodes of the docuseries will debut on Disney+ on December 12, with subsequent episodes released weekly for the following two weeks. On the same day, a concert film titled "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show" will premiere, capturing Swift's last performance of the tour at BC Place in Vancouver on December 8, 2024. This concert film will also include the complete set from her album "The Tortured Poets Department," which was released during the tour.
The announcement of both the docuseries and the concert film was made on "Good Morning America," where Swift originally revealed the Eras Tour in November 2022. At that time, she described the tour as "a journey through all of my musical eras of my career."
The Eras Tour has been a monumental success, grossing over $2 billion in ticket sales and attracting more than 10 million attendees, according to Taylor Swift Touring. It also led to the creation of the concert film "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour," which has been recognized as the highest-grossing concert film of all time by Guinness World Records. A special version of this film, titled "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)," is currently available for streaming on Disney+.
During the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Swift referred to the Eras Tour as the "most challenging thing" she has ever undertaken. "This tour was absolutely the most challenging thing I've ever done in my life," she stated. "It's a three-and-a-half-hour show, more shows than I've ever done on a tour, and it really was the most gratifying thing I've ever done."
The 14-time Grammy winner has also shared that the demanding tour schedule inspired her latest album, "The Life of a Showgirl," which she recorded while on tour. In an interview on SiriusXM's "The Morning Mash Up" on October 6, she explained, "What it ended up doing was like reinvigorating every single aspect of my life, including the tour."
Released on October 3, "The Life of a Showgirl" has already set new records for Swift, including becoming Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2025.
