SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The City of Springfield announced the launch of its Community Choice Power Supply Program, aimed at stabilizing electricity costs for residents and small businesses.
Mayor Domenic Sarno and Chief Development Officer Tim Sheehan revealed that the program, which begins with December 2025 meter reads, will offer two electric supply products with varying renewable energy content. The initiative is part of a 35-month contract with First Point Power, designed to provide stable and affordable energy while incorporating renewable sources.
