Dozens of workers have taken over Old Market Square to begin building the city's Winter Wonderland

It's almost the most wonderful time of the year again as preparations for Nottingham's Winter Wonderland are now under way.

A crane, dozens of workers in high-vis jackets and countless shipping containers and wooden panels have taken over the city's Old Market Square as works on the much-loved yearly event started on Monday morning (October 13).

The stalls due to feature at this year's market will include artisan cheeses, plants, homemade chutneys, mead, jewellery, scents, fashion, retro style, continental food and home accessories
