PARIS, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control continues to investigate an officer-involved shooting Sunday afternoon in Paris which followed a homicide investigation earlier in the day near Monroe City.

Ralls County deputies dispatched to a rural Monroe City address early Sunday for a possible shooting found a dead adult male and contacted MSHP for assistance. Preliminary investigation found the man, who has not been identified, died from an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators with the division of Drug and Crime Control, Randolph County and Operation Relentless Pursuit were asked around 1:50 p.m. to assist the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department with locating a person of interest in the homicide investigation.
