Peoria Police Citizens Academy Alumni recently presented a check for $5,000 to Officer Ian Coburn that will go to the department's animal control facility.

This donation from the PPCAA, combined with city of Peoria funding, will enable the department to modernize its animal control facility. This ensures animals are treated humanely and kept in appropriate conditions while they await adoption, return to owners, or transfer to partner organizations. This project is directly tied to community safety and public trust, as well as the welfare of the animals in Peoria Police Department’s care.
