Bhubaneswar: In a significant move to enhance security and transparency, all Odisha government offices are set to be equipped with CCTV cameras for effective surveillance.
Officials said that the cameras will cover a minimum radius of 500 meters around each government building. The surveillance system will be monitored centrally from a designated Command and Control Room to ensure real-time oversight of office premises. ADVERTISEMENT
The Commerce and Transport Department issued an official notification confirming the plan. A high-level meeting is scheduled to be held on October 17 to finalise strategies and technical specifications for implementation of the plan. Several important aspects with regard to funds and basic guidelines will be discussed in the meeting.
