(FOX40.COM) — A 41-year-old man was hospitalized on Monday after breaking into a storage facility, then getting hit by a car while he was fleeing, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.

SCSO said that before 4 a.m., the suspect broke into a storage locker at CubeSmart Storage on Watt Avenue.
The man then fled on foot and was hit by a car in the area of Watt Avenue, Myrtle and Roseville Road.
He is expected to be hospitalized for several weeks, the sheriff's office said.
It is currently unknown if he took any items.
