SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - A new traffic light in South Burlington and construction on a pedestrian bridge in Williston may cause some traffic woes for drivers this week.

Crews are installing a new traffic signal at the intersection of Market Street and Hinesburg Road (Route 116) in South Burlington.

That project will cause intermittent lane closures throughout the week, and drivers should expect delays or seek other routes.

In Williston, work is underway to replace the pedestrian bridge over the Allen Brook on Industrial Avenue.

That stretch of Industrial Ave. will be closed.

The work begins Monday and runs through next Thursday, Oct. 23.

Detour signs will be posted.
