Channel 4 faces a bidding war to secure the return of The Inbetweeners after its creators announced that the hit coming-of-age sitcom will return with a new series.
Banijay UK and Fudge Park Productions, the company founded by Inbetweeners writers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, announced an agreement that will see the comedy rebooted for a TV series, films and the stage .
Originally broadcast on E4 between 2008 and 2010, the show, which followed the misadventures of four teenagers navigating adolescence, broke ratings records for the channel and spawned two spin-off movies. New Feature
