The penultimate Masters 1000 of the season, the Shanghai Masters, ended in favor of qualifier Valentin Vacherot . He came from a set down to beat his cousin, Arthur Rinderknech , in what was also the third Masters 1000 final between two unseeded players.

En route to completing the fairytale , Vacherot knocked out four-time Shanghai Masters champion Novak Djokovic in the semifinals. A big tournament has ended, but the tennis world’s focus has already shifted toward another event- an unofficial one.

It’s the second edition of the Six Kings Slam. The exhibition event is scheduled to start on October 15 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The final will be held on October 18. But the 17th of October will be a rest day because of an ATP rule that doesn’t allow players to compete for three days
