SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is offering a free workshop to help the community prepare for various disasters.
"Every day, lives are disrupted by disasters—whether natural, like tornadoes, or man-made, such as an active shooter incident," a press release stated. "The devastation can be life-changing, but preparation can make all the difference."
The Natural and Man-Made Hazards Preparation Workshop will focus on several topics, including: • Active Shooter/Attacks Awareness • Emergency Preparedness/Disaster Kits • Tornadoes, Storms, and Floods
The workshop will be led by Lieutenant Tony LeBlanc and take place on Tuesday, October 14, at 6 p.m. at Sheriff's Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Ave. in Shreveport. Registration is free but limited to 25 spots. To
