The Rams (4-2) got some good news on Monday, as wide receiver Puka Nacua’s ankle sprain is not considered long-term and he will have a chance to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) in London next weekend, head coach Sean McVay told reporters over Zoom.

Nacua suffered the ankle injury in the first quarter of the Rams’ 17-3 win over the Ravens on Sunday. He was able to return for a handful of snaps in the second half, but was largely used in a reserve role.

While McVay said the Rams medical team was “encouraged” by the scans on Nacua’s left ankle, he still described the receiver — who still leads the NFL in receptions despite just two against the Ravens — as “day-to-day” and said the team is unsure if he will play against the Jaguars.
