KINGSTON, N.Y. — Ulster County was the only location that saw average gasoline prices rise in the Mid-Hudson Valley last week, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average price of a gallon of gas rose 3.1 cents in Ulster County to $3.094, which is still 5.9 cents lower than a month ago. In Dutchess County, prices edged down 1.7 cents to $3.137, or 5.9 cents lower than a month ago.

In Greene County, prices dipped 1.2 cents to $3.089, which is 2.3 cents lower than a month ago. Columbia County saw the biggest swing in the area with prices falling 12 cents to $3.049, or 15.4 cents lower than a month ago.

Last week, the New York state average fell 2.5 cents per gallon to $3.12. That’s 9.8 cents lower than a month ago and 7.6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, GasBuddy reported.
