A former student stabbed two teachers at a school in Torrance Monday morning, police said.

The stabbing was reported at about 8:30 a.m. at Switzer Learning Center, 2201 Amapola Court, said Lt. Ahmad of the Torrance Police Department.

The two teachers who were stabbed were taken to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown.

The former student who assaulted them, meanwhile, also made threats of pipe bombs at the center, police said.

A SWAT team is expected to arrive on scene shortly.
