(WHTM) -- The President and CEO of The York Water Company will be serving as the Chair of the National Association of Water Companies' (NAWC) Board of Directors.

Joseph "JT" Hand will serve the position effectively in January 2026, according to the NAWC.

“We are delighted to have JT step into the role of Vice Chair,” NAWC President and CEO Robert F. Powelson said in a statement. “JT’s breadth of knowledge in engineering and the regulatory landscape, combined with his proven leadership at both the state and national levels of our association, is invaluable. His strategic vision and deep commitment to our industry will be instrumental in supporting the board’s agenda and advancing our mission.”

Hand is the 22nd President and CEO of The York Water Company and took on that role in 2020. In
