Thai peanut shrimp salad from Overpass Merchant
Not only was this dish the best thing I had this week, but it was the best thing I had two weeks in a row because I loved it so much that I ordered it twice.
The Thai peanut shrimp salad is made with a base of shredded cabbage and carrots, then topped with tomatoes, peanuts, cilantro and sesame seeds and served with a lemongrass shrimp skewer. Everything is coated in a coconut ginger lime dressing, which is punchy, zesty and divine.
The whole thing is bright and refreshing, with each bite being a new burst of flavors and herbs. When I ordered the salad the second time, I subbed the shrimp for fried chicken, which certainly offered a different, more smoky, flavor profile, but it was just as good.
