Nobody thought it was Rico Dowdle time in free agency. The league’s No. 12 rusher and No. 23 overall fantasy back had to settle for backup work in one of the league’s worst offenses. The Panthers gave him $2.75 million guaranteed. For comparison’s sake, the Chiefs gave Elijah Mitchell $1.35 million guaranteed. Mitchell has been a healthy scratch for all six games.
