After a sleepy effort at the plate in their ALCS opener on Sunday night, the Blue Jays are looking for a wakeup call for Game 2 on Monday.
And perhaps a peeled-back lid to the Rogers Centre will help in that regard.
The team announced on Monday morning that it will be open air baseball for round two of the best-of-seven ALCS against the Seattle Mariners, with first pitch scheduled for 5:03 p.m.
While it should be no surprise given the relatively mild temperatures for mid-October, historically Major League Baseball — which controls the decision in the post-season — has in the past been reluctant to open the roof for playoff games here.
