New Delhi: Delhi government is set to give a Diwali gift to the people of Delhi by waiving 100% of the late fee on the water bills. The state government is aiming to provide relief to their citizens, as lakhs of households are struggling to clear their overdue water bills.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Water Minister Parvesh Verma will launch the Late Fee on Water Bill (LPSC) Waiver Scheme on Tuesday, October 14.

The scheme will be only for the domestic consumers, not for the commercials. Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) promised to bring a one-time settlement scheme to settle all the overdue water bills, but couldn’t execute the scheme well.
