Behind an unassuming storefront in Upstate New York, “The X-Files” Preservation Collection houses artifacts, props, and secrets from the iconic ’90s TV series, offering fans a chance to step into the shadowy world of the paranormal.

Located at 4284 Route 50 in Saratoga Springs , it is the largest collection dedicated to “The X-Files” in the world, according to owners Jim Thornton and Kelly Anthony. Fittingly, New York, which ranked No. 5 in UFO sightings and reported alien encounters, is home to this unparalleled trove of X-Files memorabilia.

For over 30 years, Thornton has been building this shrine to Mulder, Scully, and the unexplained.

“It’s either an obsession or insanity,” he said.
