It has been exactly three weeks since the news of Bruce Pearl’s retirement broke, ending the most successful era in Auburn basketball history.

His retirement made way for his son, former associate head coach Steven Pearl , to take over control of the program. Steven had been on staff for all 11 of his father’s seasons at Auburn, and was associate head coach for the past two.

Bruce Pearl did his first basketball interview since retiring on Monday, speaking to reporters at the Bruce, Barkley and Basketball Golf Classic. It was the first time he had spoken about his retirement since the decision was made.
