Aldi has issued a warning over its freezer aisles - with shoppers told an item is being pulled from shelves. Aldi is recalling Gianni’s Cheeky Monkey Ice Cream because it contains undeclared wheat (gluten) which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat (gluten). The ice cream comes in 500ml tubs and has a best before date of 14 August, 2027.

The Food Standards Agency, or FSA, says: "The product contains wheat (gluten) making it a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.
