(NewsNation) — MTV is reportedly planning to shut down five of its music channels in the United Kingdom after decades on air.
MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV and MTV Live are all set to stop broadcasting in the U.K. after December 31, according to a BBC report. The flagship channel, MTV HD, which airs reality shows, will remain on air.
American MTV channels appear to be unaffected so far. However, Australia, Poland, France and Brazil are also expected to have their MTV music channels shut down, according to outlets in those countries.
