ALAPPUZHA: Locals protested with the body of a female farm worker, alleging that her death was due to the negligence of KSEB employees. The body of the deceased Sarala (64) was brought in front of the Pallippad KSEB office.

Sarala and her companion, Srilatha, were electrocuted while climbing ashore after working in a paddy field the other day. Srilatha is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Srilatha grabbed the stay wire of a nearby electricity post to prevent her from slipping and falling. Sarala also got electrocuted while trying to save her. The accident occurred when the stay wire hit the fuse carrier.
