Marvel and DC have competed for the longest time but it’s almost always been good-natured, never malicious.
It’s the fans that are more likely to argue over with Marvel characters can beat Superman, which has the better films, could Batman solo the MCU etc.
The companies themselves though are pretty friendly though and have even crossed over in the comics a handful of times, with another on the way uniting Superman and Spider-Man.
