Srinagar, Oct 13: The seasonal schools in Jammu and Kashmir, which provide education to children of migratory populations in highland pastures from May to October, are set to close by the end of this month, October.

An official from the School Education Department informed Rising Kashmir that these seasonal schools are a crucial facility in the region, ensuring basic education for children during the six-month migration period. The nomadic communities, along with their livestock, move from the plains to the highland pastures of Jammu and Kashmir each year for half the year.
