Road trips haven’t gone as plan for Louisiana football so far this season, making this week’s return to Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium much needed.

The Ragin’ Cajuns (2-4, 1-1 SBC) are fresh off a 24-14 loss against James Madison , where they were held scoreless in the second half of play. Offensively, things have been a struggle for the Cajuns with every injury bug possible being thrown at them. Those injuries have them on their third string quarterback, Lunch Winfield, who made his first collegiate start vs. the Dukes.

Despite Winfield and the Cajuns’ offense still not where they want to be, head coach Michael Desormeaux and his staff are still hopeful that a run at the Sun Belt Conference championship is on the table.
