AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A 20-year-old man appeared in the Randall County courthouse to plead guilty to injuring a child.

Ryan Gregory Lusk was arrested June 24 last year on a warrant for injury to child with serious bodily injury, a first-degree felony.

In Texas, a first-degree felony carries a punishment range of 5 to 99 years in prison.

According to court documents obtained by NewsChannel10, Lusk caused serious injury to an infant by throwing the child.

The documents state that Lusk was frustrated that the child would not stop crying. The child suffered multiple injuries, including a brain bleed.

Lusk admitted what he did to a police officer.

The offense date is given as June 15, 2024.

His bond was set at $75,000.
