MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – The Milwaukee Brewers are turning to left-hander Aaron Ashby to open Game One of the National League Championship Series on Monday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Ashby’s postseason so far has been up and down. The southpaw has appeared in four games against the Chicago Cubs, posting a 5.79 earned run average. He started Game Two of the NLDS, where he surrendered a three-run home run to Seiya Suzuki.
In Game Five, Ashby recorded just one out before being relieved by Chad Patrick, but still earned a hold in the Brewers’ series-clinching victory.
Despite the rocky playoff outings, Ashby’s regular season numbers were among the best on Milwaukee’s staff. The 26-year-old finished the 2025 campaign with a 5-2 record, a 2.16 ERA, and 76 strikeouts.
