This afternoon cloudier skies continue to blanket parts of New Mexico with showers moving through the southwest. Today, showers and thunderstorms are expected to move from south to north across the state and southwest Colorado. Cloud coverage may play factor in limiting thunderstorm potential; however, wet weather will be sticking around through the first half of the week. Shower and storm chances will still lead to the potential for heavy rainfall and flash flooding in southwest New Mexico and Colorado.

Montezuma, La Plate and Archuleta Counties are underneath a Flood Watch until tomorrow morning from the National Weather Service (NWS). A Flood Warning is in effect until Midnight on Wednesday for section of northeast La Plata County, with Pagosa Springs still underneath a Flood Warning u
