A shocking incident unfolded in Mullanpur, Mohali, evening on Monday, when a team from the Counter Intelligence Agency, Kharar allegedly pointed revolvers at a group of local traders playing cards, leading to panic and the death of one trader due to a heart attack. Another person in critical condition was hospitalised.
According to eyewitnesses, the raid team comprising around five officers, dressed as civilians, arrived in Mullanpur following an intelligence input. On Mondays, the market in Mullanpur remains closed, and several local shopkeepers usually gather to play cards. An eyewitness Rajesh, alias Pammi, said that the officers did not identify themselves as police personnel before drawing their weapons.
“They suddenly pointed revolvers at us without saying they were police. Everyon
