Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi on Monday said Trump’s Mideast peace proposal represents the “last chance” for peace in the region. El-Sissi, who hosted leaders from around the world at Sharm el-Sheikh for the Gaza ceasefire deal signing, also reiterated his call for a two-state solution, saying the Palestinians have the right to an independent state alongside Israel.
