One person was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a dump truck on the Longmont-bound Diagonal Highway on Monday.

At about noon, Colorado State Patrol received a call about a crash involving a dump truck and an SUV at Diagonal and Mineral Road between Gunbarrel and Niwot, Trooper Gabriel Moltrer said.

The crash temporarily blocked a northbound right turn lane and one person was taken to the hospital, Moltrer said. It was not immediately clear if the person taken the hospital was in the SUV or the dump truck.
