GRANVILLE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - With the heavy winds and rain across our region, the weather certainly had impact on businesses and events this Columbus Day weekend.

The Granville Harvest Fair still technically took place Monday, but a large portion of the fair was missing. “Usually, the weather won’t affect us that bad unless its pouring rain, this year the wind is really what took us by surprise.” Said Ron Bouwer, the Chairman of the Granville Harvest Committee.

The rainy and windy weather essentially forced all the outdoor vendors away not only Monday, but Sunday as well. Vendors told us that the winds were starting to blow tents away and the cold rain made the atmosphere uncomfortable for both workers and visitors.
