There was much fanfare, including confetti cannons , when the ambitious Digital Health Record went live in November 2022.
The electronic system replaced dozens of different paper and digital records that were being used by the ACT public health and hospital system.
Since then, a series of investigations and audits have revealed failures including millions in blowout costs.
The Auditor-General plans to complete six audits into the Digital Health Record in 2025-26 on implementation, workplace culture and operations, project management, procurement and data security.
