SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame football team has won four games in a row, but the Fighting Irish have a big test this upcoming weekend against one of their biggest rivals.
The No. 13 Irish (4-2) will welcome No. 20 USC (5-1) to South Bend on Saturday. It’s a longtime rivalry as the two schools have played each other 95 times since their first meeting in 1926.
The rivalry is reportedly in jeopardy as the contract between the two schools comes to an end after they play this weekend. If an agreement isn’t reached to extend the annual series, it could go on hiatus.
In this week’s 16 News Now GAMEDAY Question of the Week presented by Lochmandy, we want to know what your favorite Notre Dame rivalry is.
