A Wiltshire man decided to take matters into his own hands to highlight his town’s pothole problem – by turning one into beans on toast.

Campaigner Ben Thornbury, 20, tucked into the traditional English meal to slam the increasingly traditional English problem.

He used two slices of toast and 30 tins of baked beans, then added cheese on top.

‘I guess you could say this has bean a success,’ he joked.

‘Thank God I get a discount from the shop as I would have able to feed my whole family with that amount of beans.’

The stunt was created on Michael Pyms Road, in his home town of Malmesbury, near Swindon, Wiltshire. Ben has also petitioned the government in a bid to get action taken over the massive amount of potholes.
