EAST LANSING – Aidan Chiles didn’t finish either of the last two games and it’s unclear if he’ll be able to start the next one.

The Michigan State quarterback who was injured in the third quarter of last week’s 38-13 loss against UCLA is questionable for Saturday’s game at No. 3 Indiana.

“Optimistic,” coach Jonathan Smith said Monday of Chiles among the injured players last week, “but we’ll find out at the end of the week.”

Chiles was scrambling early in the third quarter against the Bruins and spun around to take a helmet-to-helmet shot from 320-pound defensive tackle Keanu Williams, although there was no call for targeting on the play.
