EAGAN, Minn. — Quarterback J.J. McCarthy was on the practice field and linebacker Blake Cashman's practice window was opened on Monday as the Minnesota Vikings prepare to host the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

McCarthy also worked with coach Kevin O'Connell throughout the bye week, marking the first time the 22-year-old had been on the field since suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 2 against Atlanta.

"We had some good work last week," O'Connell said. "It was great to get back on the grass and had some good sessions out there -- kind of getting back to a lot of the principles of lower body mechanics and things that had been really good parts of his early journey here."
