Garden Grove police were asking for the public’s help Monday, Oct. 13, with any information regarding the daytime shooting death of a 67-year-old man along Westminster Avenue last month, authorities said.

Officers responded just past 4 p.m. on Sept. 21 to the 12600 block of Westminster Avenue where they found Mario Barrios suffering from gunshot wounds, Garden Grove police Sgt. Nick Jensen said.

Barrios, who was shot in the upper body in a parking lot, died at a hospital, Jensen said.

The circumstances leading up to and during the shooting were not known.
