Two 13-year-old boys were arrested after police were called to a street in Whitefield .

Officers descended on Roch Crescent on Monday evening (October 13).

They responded to reports of 'suspicious males in the area' at around 6.40pm.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a number of police vehicles on the street, including a Tactical Aid Unit van.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said the two boys were arrested on suspicious of burglary.

Both have been taken into custody for questioning. An investigation is now underway.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called to Roch Crescent at around 6:40pm after reports of suspicious males in the area.
