2QUEENS, NY – An off-duty NYPD school safety agent was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with grand larceny and harassment, police said.

The arrest occurred around 1:35 p.m. within the confines of the 105th Precinct, which covers parts of southeast Queens.

Authorities identified the suspect as Anthony Williams, 56, an employee with the NYPD’s School Safety Division.

Police did not release details about the alleged theft or the circumstances leading to the harassment charge.

Williams was taken into custody without incident and processed on both charges.

Internal review expected

The NYPD said the department’s Internal Affairs Bureau is aware of the arrest and will conduct a review in accordance with standard procedure.

Williams’ employment status was not immediately disclosed.
