New Delhi, Oct 14: Google has announced its largest investment in India to date, a $15 billion artificial intelligence hub in Visakhapatnam, with the aim of democratising technology and ensuring AI for All.
The hub will include a purpose-built data centre campus, adding gigawatt-scale compute capacity to meet demand for digital services across India and the world.
The investment, which will be made over five years (2026-2030), will be built with the same cutting-edge infrastructure that powers Google products like Search, Workspace, and YouTube.
The hub will join Google’s network of existing AI data centres across 12 countries. The announcement was made at Google’s ‘Bharat AI Shakti’ event in New Delhi.
