Union (7-0) is coming off quality wins over Gate City and Ridgeview in front of packed houses at home and now the Lebanon Pioneers (6-0) roll into Big Stone Gap on Friday to battle the Bears in a matchup of two of the three unbeaten teams still remaining in far Southwest Virginia.

The other squad with an undefeated record is the Eastside Spartans (7-0), who recorded a 24-12 win over defending Region 1D champion Rye Cove on Friday in a crucial Cumberland District clash.
